There can be quite a few reasons for overeating, such as emotional eating, or just the mere taste of certain foods, or just plain and simple habits that we have picked up over the years.

And not realised consciously that we eat a particular way some factors may include, the size of a food packaging or people around us can affect how much we eat, sometimes if you have large friends it is possible to pick up their eating habits and transfer them to yourself without even realising it.

In a book called Mindless Eating which is written by Brian Wansink, and is involved in a department within Cornell University, which has conducted various experiments to try and understand the psychology of why we eat the way we do.

The experiments were centered around the size of food packaging and also outside influences of other people, some of the things that they found out from, their data was, that large portions of food can be cheaper so we tend to buy more of them, whereas smaller portions of food tend to be that bit more expensive so we eat less smaller portions.

During his experiments he found that we tend to be influenced by the name on the packaging, and also specifically by the size of it, one experiment which involved popcorn gave participants different sizes large and medium-sizes were used for the experiment, the popcorn was five days old.

Once the movie was over they measured the amount of popcorn that was consumed and interestingly enough, the people have had the large popcorn size eight approximately 53 percent more, than those whom had the smaller size of popcorn. They came to the conclusion that three factors were involved in eating the popcorn these influential factors were other people eating the popcorn in close proximity, the actual associations in their mind with going to a movie and eating it and also the distraction of it. Also bear in mind that the popcorn used was stale.

Another experiment revolved around using a soup bowl, one group had a bottomless soup bowl, which was topped up and soup in it most of the time, while another group had normal soup bowls.

Here again we have differences in both experiments the bottomless soup bowl group ate considerably more than the other group. But when asked about calorie consumption, they said that they thought they had both eaten the same amount when in fact they hadn’t.

They also noted that people near to us or nearby whom are eating also can have a plus factor when it comes to eating food, not plus as in positive but we tend to match them probably more subconsciously than anything. This can go either way we can either eat more or less depending upon the environmental conditions and where we are.

Wansink found that people who become overweight or obese, very often not aware of how much they are eating and the amounts that they should be eating, he says that we should become more aware of what we are eating rather than just being mindless with our eating.

This is what causes the consumption of too many calories throughout the day, his tips for eating less are eat no more than two items if you are at a buffet, wrap foods in tinfoil to make them seem less appealing. Don’t eat foods directly from packets and if you sit near to somebody make sure they are eating their food slowly. This isn’t the be all and end all of losing weight, but hopefully these tips will help you and make you understand how sometimes that we have habits going on beneath the surface, particularly subconsciously ones in the way we do things especially when it comes to eating food.

But there are often lots of things that you may or may not know of that come from the benefits of exercising regularly.

1. You will increase muscle mass which is a key component in burning fat, muscle is active tissue whereas fat is in active tissue, so the more muscle mass you have the better

2. Keeps your bones and and joints supple and stronger, people whom exercise regular tend to have stronger bones, and more supple joints and are less likely to suffer from stiffness etc

3. Helps in relieving stress, it tends to be a great way of burning of adrenaline and also eliminating toxins from your body which may accumulate over time, these tend to be sweated out when you do vigorous exercise

4. Makes you feel more positive and ready for the day, try getting some exercise first thing in the morning and notice how, more positive you will feel throughout the day and feel able to attack anything which is thrown your way

5. Focus and concentration you will be able to concentrate a lot better, and get more things done which will rocket your productivity through the roof.

6. More energy when you will more physically active, your cardiovascular system becomes more stronger, a healthy person has less heart beats per minute than a one healthy person. The reason for this is a slower heartbeat pumps more blood round, than one that is going quicker at rest, this is one of the reasons why unhealthy people run out of energy so quickly. And feel tired all the time

7. Live a longer life studies have shown that people, who exercise regularly have a longer lifespan’s and there cells don’t expire as quick as unhealthy people’s. If you put some cells in a test-tube and leave them, for some time they will eventually expire and die if you regularly shake the test-tube which they are in, they have a longer lifespan

8.Lower blood pressure, due to the fact that exercise helps strengthens your cardiovascular system, this will keep your blood pressure in check.

9. Helps to burn off blood sugar, if you have diabetes or don’t have diabetes is still important to get exercise, in order to encourage the uptake of sugar into your cells, if this doesn’t happen over a long period of time your cells become insulin resistant, because no physical activity is occurring and your cells are being constantly bombarded with sugar, if you take regular exercise the excess glucose will become burned off and lower your sugar

10. Keeps cholesterol in check, when you’re more physically active your liver becomes more efficient at dealing with, excess cholesterol in your system and due to the fact that, exercise when done correctly burns fat, even when you are at rest. This will help to keep your blood cholesterol levels in check.

Have somehow managed to stay in good shape in particular Dain Behr, so following on from my previous post’s on what celebrities eat and how they keep in shape. Here is what Dani does as far as exercise and diet is concerned.

From what her agent says Dani spends a lot of time swimming in the sea, and being it is quite warm where she lives, then there are no real limits as to when she can swim due to the fact that she lives in Australia . Where the climate tends to be predominantly warm.

As far as diet is concerned than the likes to eat lots of smoothies, fresh fruit and vegetables, lots of fish and no junk food what so ever. So here in a nutshell is what you need to do to live a typical Aussie lifestyle.

Relax Australians must have a very relaxed attitude towards life, and don’t believe in rushing anything they do and that includes eating meals as well, so eat your food slowly and adopt their way of doing things. And eating slowly is a good way to keep your weight under control, various studies have shown this.

Eat plenty of seafood Australians eat lots of shrimps and eat them on barbecues, a great low-fat alternative to cook your food is by grilling it. Rather than cooking it in fat.

Down under they eat a lot of Thai food especially, sushi takeout food joints are popping up all over the place down there, sushi tends to contain things light rice and pieces of fish, very low in calories and fat but high in nutrition.

Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, Australians tend to eat twice as much fruit and vegetables as we do, fruit and vegetables because they contain water and fibre tend to fill you up very quickly.

Eat nuts Australians eat something called macadamia nuts, they are plenty of nuts you can buy in this country that have health benefits you don’t necessarily need to eat the aforementioned ones. Studies have found that people who eat nuts at least twice a week, tend to be slimmer than those who don’t.

If you want a more slender figure like Dani’s then here is what you need to do, aim for at least four 30 minute sessions of exercise per week from the following, swimming Dani swims every day, swimming is a great all-round exercise puts no real strain on joints and doing it for half an hour can burn up to 300 calories.

Jogging is a real good fat burner, and helps get rid of belly fat constant jogging can burn also up to 300 calories and is good for strengthening and toning your legs. Dancing this is another great exercise as as well as being fun also a typical dancing session for half an hour will burn up to 300 calories.

Surfing if you’re able to do this just make sure you get a decent wetsuit, as it does tend to get pretty chilly around our coastlines in this country, half an hour of surfing will burn approximately 350 calories and will tone, and strengthen most of your muscles.

The Diet

Here is a rough diet plan of what to eat

Protein sometimes tends to get a bad name amongst people in the weight loss industry, but it is quite a important factor in building muscle mass, it acts as the building blocks for it.

One of the main reasons that it probably does get a bad press from time to time, it’s probably largely due to the fact that people go on the Atkins diet which is based on low carbohydrate and high protein. Which doesn’t necessarily always suit some people and they can become quite ill.

But this post isn’t necessarily about the Atkins diet as such, it is more concerned with some research which was done in Australia based around eating protein. The study found that if people eat meals which have higher protein content. Then this is for more likely to help with fat burning, interestingly enough the glycaemic index of the food that they were eating, had no additional effect on breaking down fat.

One of the study coordinators Dr. Marijka Batterman said “We know from past research that overweight or obese people are not as efficient at burning fat. This new study shows that fat oxidation, or the body’s ability to ‘burn’ fat, improves in obese people when they eat a higher protein diet.”

In order to test the theory to see what the results were the participants in the study were split into two groups, one of them ate protein in their diets, whilst the other group did not. The the study showed that the participants that ate a high level of protein, in their meals increased fat oxidation quite significantly.

Here is what they ate:

Breakfast: cheese and tomato omelette

Lunch consisted of a beef and chutney salad sandwich, with a tub of low-fat yoghurt.

The researchers said they found a relationship between what they call body composition and an effect of protein and fat oxidation. One such expert said forget about so-called fad diets everybody seems to jump onto these days.

And eat more foods that contain protein such as lean red meat, chicken fish ones that are high in Omega three oils e.g. salmon and tuna, legumes, eggs, nuts and low fat dairy foods, such as low-fat yoghurt, low-fat cheese. And so on if you’re not a great fan of eating eggs then perhaps you might like to consider making your own protein shakes using Whey protein powder. Protein powder can be quite expensive however and may be not in everybody’s budget reach.

In the long run it does pay to do your own research and not get waylaid by claims of miracle diets and so forth, the diet and weight loss industry is huge and the people that make all these pills and potions know that there are vulnerable and desperate people, trying to lose weight and prey on these people. Trying to make a quick buck where ever they can.

If you don’t feel that eating more protein in your diet, would be beneficial to yourself then please don’t make that decision lightly, it doesn’t hurt to listen to other people’s opinions and learn about what does, and doesn’t work but ultimately it’s your choice as to what you eat and what works best for you.

The recommended daily amount of fibre that you’re supposed to eat every day, this is not just days here is 25 to 30 grams per day. Now the thing to remember is here even though this does sound lot in reality it isn’t. If you look at the weight content of most foods say for instance a pot of cottage cheese, it might be 250 grams in weight.

So there for one part of that will be 25 grams and a 250 gram pot of cottage cheese, isn’t that big so it’s not like you have to you eat lots of food with fibre in. One of the biggest mistakes I think is when we think about eating a particular food, we tend to think that we should just be eating say wholemeal bread.

Have a couple of slices of it and that will be our fibre content for the day, but really that isn’t the case they are many sources of different foods where you can get fibre from, and there are probably more than you ever realised. There was in the first place.

One of the signs that you’re not getting enough fibre is you may not to be having, regular bowel movements. So many people get constipated these days by eating the wrong foods and surprisingly because they aren’t eating the required amount of fibre.

Which does help in pushing the food through your body. If you aren’t having a bowel movement every other day or once a day which is even better, then you really need to up your quota of fibre in your diet.

So if this is the case then you need to start eating more of the following foods, wholemeal bread, broccoli, jacket potatoes with the skin on, porridge or oatmeal ,wholemeal pasta, brown rice, fresh fruit and dried fruit, apples, pears and baked beans low sugar variety preferably.

Another way to tell if you’re not eating sufficient fibre in your diet, is whether or not you get that satisfied, full feeling when you have eaten your food. If you’re not getting this then you are probably more than likely, not getting sufficient fibre in your food, the great thing about fibre is it adds bulk to your diet.

But without adding excessive calories, so it’s also a good supplement to what you already may be eating and will help with weight loss. Another reason for this to be happening is you may be eating more food than you need, due to the lack of fibre in your diet.

If you’re diabetic or not which ever the case maybe, fibre can help in the regulation of blood sugar, fibre tends to slow down the absorption of blood sugar in your body, and dampens down any insulin spikes, fibre tends to be broken down slowly in your body compared to some foods.

It makes you feel fuller longer so you’re far more likely to eat less, throughout the day if you’re blood sugar is fluctuating all over the place, you may be hungry one minute and then feeling okay the next. And this doesn’t necessarily apply to people whom have got diabetes, fibre is one of the most preventive pre-diabetic foods there are.

If you’re feeling tired and lacking in energy this could be another symptom, when people are trying to lose weight we tend to become information overloaded, and our desperation can lead to frantically trying to anything in order to lose some weight, but the problem with this is some people tend to go on Atkins type diets, which have very little fibre in and more carbohydrate and protein-based.

Which is all very well but they can lead you to feeling very tired and drained. This is why you need fibre to balance things out. A lot of high fibre foods have what is called a very low GI this means that they released their sugars, over a longer period of time. This ultimately helps with losing weight.

The only real way to find out if you are getting the correct amount of fibre in what you are eating on a daily basis, is to write down a list of foods and how much fibre they contain.

And do a daily diary or chart to make sure that you eat those particular foods, in order to get the 25 to 30 grams of fibre you need a day, it’s not as difficult as you think. For example beans on toast made with high fibre bread, contains roughly about 14 to 15 grams of fibre now there is a very simple basic meal, which will give you half of the recommended amount of fibre you need each day.

The problem with our busy lifestyles these days is, we tend to live by what I called the fridge door syndrome we open the fridge door, and eat whatever is in their instead of putting a bit of thought into what we eat.

Quite a long time ago now I wrote some posts about green tea and how they were supposed to help as a slimming aid. Whether or not this is the case is a matter of personal opinion I suppose.

But some people swear by drinking these teas. That it does in fact help them to lose weight, another particular health benefits of drinking green tea is the high levels of antioxidants, which are very good at preventing cell damage.

And now it would seem that certain things have come to light and green tea is back in the news again, but this time with some very definitive proof although the only downside to this particular study. As is a lot of the case most of the time, it was done on rats.

But we shouldn’t necessarily discount these studies because they are very interesting to know about, this particular research found that even when rats were fed a poor diet which consisted of junk food, and drank three cups of this particular tea, then they continued to lose weight.

Spearole Tea which was used during the test contains these ingredients, green tea being the main ingredient as well as spearmint, grape leaf and spearmint. Other properties that it has is, it helps to lower blood pressure, and helps with maintaining sugar balance within your body.

One of the researchers on the study said that if you would have told her, that by just doing something as simple as drinking three cups of tea a day of a particular type of tea. And achieving these kind of results, she said that you might be have been having too much sun.

The rats in the study were fed a heavily sugar laden diet which caused their blood pressure to soar and caused them to develop fat abdomens, this all happened within the timeframe of eight weeks. Which is a very short period of time, to affect your health in such a dramatic way.

When this particular tea which was mentioned earlier in this post, was given to the rats also things started to change, they waistlines started to decrease in size, and their blood pressure stabilised to normal. Despite the fact of what they were eating still.

It is thought that the ingredients which are contained within that tea, prevent the fat cells from releasing more chemicals which tend to make more fat cells. It is believed that the olive and grapes contained within the tea are the ones that, stop the inflammation of fat cells and help with the lowering of blood pressure.

Studies in the past which have revolved around green tea, have noted things like, suppression of appetite and due to the powerful antioxidant ingredients, prevention against things like cancer and other diseases. So it’s a case of more tea anyone.

Some while ago now we wrote a post here on this blog about the risks of having a 35 inch waistline, or more for men and women, women can get away with having a smaller waist as far as health risks are concerned, and men need to be concerned if this their waistline is over 35 inches.

Normally being overweight is something that you associate with belly fat or having a larger abdomen, but recently some alarming research has come to light that says even if you are not overweight. And have a large belly that you could also be at risk as far as your own mortality is concerned.

The researchers found that just measuring somebody’s waist measurement, was a far better indicator as to whether or not somebody will live a longer life, and is a far more accurate test than the governments BMI test which has been the standard for quite a long time now.

This recent development has opened up a whole new way of measuring whether somebody, will have health problems later on in life and it has been suggested that, doctors are now possibly measuring the wrong measurements. Due to the fact of what this study has actually found.

The study involved 350,000 people over nine European countries, the real kicker as far as this study was concerned is that even those people whom had, a healthy BMI using the other way of measuring body fat. If they had an excess of abdominal fat then they were still at risk of having health problems. Such as a heart attack or a stroke later on in life.

Some of the evidence brought forward by the study was, every inch that you put on around your waist line, this increases your mortality rate by nine percent for men and seven percent for women. This is based on no matter how thin you are in the first place this is something that needs to be paid close attention to, if you are thin and have access abdominal fat.

They found that people with similar BMIs, and those who had large waists were far more likely to die earlier, compared to those who had a small waist. Just so you get an idea of what is a large waist is, and what is considered a small waist here are those figures. A big waist was considered to be 47 inches, for men and for women 39 inches, in the United Kingdom a average waist size is 30 inches in men and women it’s 33 1/2 inches.

Professor Edlio Riboli who works for the Imperial College of London, said: “Although smaller studies have suggested a link between mortality and waist size, we were surprised to see the waist size having such a powerful effect on people’s health and premature death”.

“Our study shows that accumulating excess fat around your middle can put your health at risk even if your weight is normal based on BMI scores. There aren’t many simple individual characteristics that can increase a person’s risk of premature death to this extent, independently from smoking and drinking”

The medical profession normally uses BMI to get these particular details, your weight and height are taken into consideration but there is no measurement of your waist using this particular method.

The way thatBMI works is if you have aBMI of between 18 and 25, this indicates that you’re in the safe health zone and far less at risk, of getting diseases like diabetes, heart related problems etc. if you have aBMI which is over 25 then you are in the overweight category, anything above that, then you are going into obese territorially.

For a few years nowBMI has come in for a bit of a challenging because bodybuilders who have more muscle than fat, can be considered to be one healthy as far as theBMI system is concerned, or even somebody who is a superfit athlete.

Probably the reason for this is that muscle weighs more than fat are we getting to the stage whereBMI is no longer a accurate means of testing somebody’s health as far as mortality is concerned. The study which was conducted by the new England Journal of medicine, also found that having a lower hip ratio measurement, which involves measuring between the sizes of the waist and hip. Also was a more accurate way of determining health rather than usingBMI again.

The participants in the study were measured for a period of 10 years and were aged between 25 and 70 years, over the 10-year period approximately 14,000 of them died. The people who organised the study said the main reasons were sedentary lifestyle, eating a poor diet and some were caused by some genetic factors.

As to the reasons why these particular people had large waistlines, one of the lead doctors on the study said is not so much about being overweight any more, but more about where the body fat is distributed throughout your body and if it’s predominantly around your abdominal area.

Then that is where you need to lose it from in order to have a longer life and stay healthier. On a side note another study found that obese teenagers were found to have arteries that were like the age of somebody 45 or more, which suggests that they should be being treated like somebody with those particular problems at that particular age.

This certainly does shed some light that the fact, having a large waistlines does in fact interfere with your biology inside your body, we do know that there are definite links to diabetes when you have a large abdomen, but it does make you think, as time goes on further evidence will probably reveal what other substances cause these particular health problems associated with having a lot of belly fat.

So probably it’s time to if you’re able to that is, lose that spare tyre sorry for the pun couldn’t resist it.

As the last post which I wrote about celebrities and the, things they have to do in order to keep in shape. And what they eat in their diets generated some interest, I decided to do another but focusing on one person as the last one was more generic.

So this one revolves around the fitness routine and diet that Daniel Craig had to endure, in order to get in shape for his role in the movie Casino Royale, I’m sure a lot of people will remember him walking out of the sea with his toned body and swimming trunks on.

I dare say a lot of men the world over would probably like to look like this, and sometimes I dare say movie stars are used as role models as to how we should look as people. But unfortunately this isn’t always the case in the real world.

So here is the routine that Daniel Craig had to do, which I might add is in more detail than my last post on celebrity fitness. Which was more of a general overview of what actors have to put themselves through in order to get leading roles in movies these days.

The Exercise Routine:

In a nutshell it was based on what was called circuit training which revolves around, doing small bouts of exercise and switching from one to another, and having a five to 10 minute breather in between exercises.

The first one is dumbbell lateral raises you do this by bending your arms at a 90 degree angle, so stand with your feet apart and knees slightly bent, and have two reasonably small dumbbells in each hand then what you do is move your arms out so they straight, when you’re on your arms are straight you will look like the letter T as you are standing up, then you bring your arms down slowly this causes the resistance in the training and will firm up your arms. Essentially what you are doing is moving your arms up and down until they are straight horizontally and then bringing them down slowly with the weights.

Clean and jerk this is something that weightlifters do when they are competing, in lifting the maximum amount of weights in a competition, you stand with your legs slightly apart, and have a barbel this is the long type of barbel with two weights at the end, then you squat down keeping your back straight.

And grasp the bar with the weights on it and lift it just to the top of your knees, then you tilt your back slightly back, and continue to bend your arms and depending on how heavy the weights are you may need to bend one of your legs, because if it is a very heavy set of weights you will need to use both your arms and your legs in order to achieve the next stage.

You may have seen this done on television because it is a widely used exercise, once you are bending your arms inwards, the weights should now be at your chest, what you need to do next is lift them above your head. The thing to remember is here if there is some sort of resistance then you will get benefit out of it and it will work your muscles, don’t be too over concerned about how heavy the weights are it’s more a case of doing it.

Squats you can do these by standing straight with your legs slightly apart, have two small dumbbells in each hand, and squat down and then raise slowly this exercise is particularly good for your behind and the top of your legs, due to the fact that you are using some weights as well will make it that little bit harder.

Barbel curls standing with your feet slightly apart, have a barbel with a long rod and two weights each end and hold the bar just below your waist, then with your arms race them all so they are straight, this will work out the top of your arms.

Bench press using the same weights as above lie down on a bench, in a position where you are looking at the sky or ceiling as the case may be, then raise the weight from above your chest until your arms are straight and repeat the process.

Pull ups or chin ups this is the exercise where you hold onto a bar, with your arms facing inwards as you are holding the bar, you pull your body weight up to the bar. If you are unable to do these particular exercises then invest in a chin up machine.

Dips this exercise involves somewhat similar to the above but not exactly the same, you have two metal bars either side of you, and you position yourself between them and move your arms up and down, until they are at a 90 degree angle.

Here is the routine and the reps in a nutshell, you do four sets of the exercises, and 15 reps on each exercise so for example 15 barbel curls and due to the fact that you are doing circuit training, this will end up in the routine four times.

Push-ups these are the well-known exercise that almost everybody knows, you lie horizontally on the floor, and use your arms two push your body up and down.

Situps these are for working your abdomen, lie down horizontally on the floor, as if you’re staring at the ceiling and put your hands behind your head, and sit up using your stomach to do the work.

The thing to aim for here is having very little rest time between each set of exercises, say two to three minutes or if you can’t manage that stretch it to five to six minutes.

The main reason for the brief resting period in between is this will keep, your heart rate very high and in the fat burning zone, which is the whole point of it. This will continue to happen both during and after the exercises are finished.

If possible you need to do this for six weeks and a bare minimum of three to four times a week, if you can manage more then do so but this will largely depend on your overall fitness, as to how much you can actually do. A reasonable amount of time to do these particular exercises, is about 45 to 50 minutes. This will maximise the fat burning potential of what you’re actually doing.

The Diet here is what Daniel Craig was eating

Breakfast consisted of poached eggs with toast no butter,

In between meals snack consisted of a protein shake, supplemented with fruit and nuts

Lunch was meat and fish either salmon or tuna or which ever would be preferred, with some brown rice, or a jacket potato with beans or any kind of healthy topping cottage cheese springs to mind.

Afternoon snack, a protein shake yoghurt or nuts.

And finally dinner meat, fish served with some vegetables typical example would be broccoli, kale, spinach or any other leafy green vegetable like iceberg lettuce.

So they you have it even more punishing celebrity exercise and diet routines, the things that they have to do in order to keep in shape for the roles that they are playing.

As we are all well aware it can be difficult sometimes when you’re trying to lose some weight, and things don’t seem to quite work out the way that you would like them to, I have been there many self my many times trying various different things, different diets etc. Some work some don’t but the other day I came across, a article which revolved around cabbage soup as a diet plan.

So here is what the cabbage soup diet is, this particular diet is supposed to be very good for people who would like to shed a few pounds very quickly, it also has two other names those are the Sacred Heart Hospital Diet and the Mayo Clinic Diet.

According to what experts say this is a good way to kickstart your weight-loss plan when your first starting off trying to lose some excess weight, as its name suggests what you do is eat cabbage soup for a seven-day period.

It must be said though that this particular diet is not something that, is lifelong it is only to get you started losing some initial way to start off with. Here is the basic cabbage soup recipe so you can make your own if you feel confident doing so.

You will need :

one head of cabbage

six medium onions

six green onions

six carrots

two bell peppers either green or red

three large tomatoes

five stalks of celery

four ounces of uncooked brown rice

salt and some freshly ground black pepper

The actual cabbage soup itself hardly has any calories, it is more used for its filler ability, this is useful because it will stop you from getting food cravings. And over eating so you will tend to lose weight.

Here is a rough guide to what you eat whilst being on the cabbage soup diet for seven days.

Day one

On this day you eat plenty of fruit’s which every your favourite is the only thing to do here, is exclude bananas, and there is no limit to how many times you have the cabbage soup.

Day two

This day is vegetables eat as many vegetables, that you like to supplement your cabbage soup the only things to avoid are corn, beans and peas. Make sure you eat plenty of leafy green vegetables, i.e. broccoli, brussel sprouts etc. also on this day avoid eating fruit. Also if needs be for your tea or lunch as the case may be, have a baked potato with a small knob of butter.

Day three

On this day you need to eat a mixture of fruit and vegetables, miss the jacket potato on this particular day. Don’t eat bananas also but you can eat as much fruit and vegetables as you desire.

Day four

Eat eight bananas on this particular day, supplement this with drinking plenty of skimmed milk and have as much cabbage soup as you can manage.

Day five

Add around 20 ounces of beef to your cabbage soup in order to supplement it on this particular day, also add six tomatoes and potatoes. If you do not like to eat beef then you can always use chicken if you prefer, drink plenty of water also six glasses, the more the better this washes away uric acid.

Day six

On this day you need to eat beef all day,as well as the cabbage soup, and plenty of vegetables just avoid eating potatoes.

Day seven

Brown rice can be eaten on this particular day, as well as fruit juices, to supplement your cabbage soup also.

So there you have it the cabbage diet some people do say to follow this particular diet, for a week it probably can become a bit boring for some people and they might not be able to stick at it. For seven days but realistically if you get results from it then there is no harm in trying, even though seven days can seem quite a long time. It can tend to go very quickly and it’s not like you are going to have to eat cabbage soup every day for ever.

You could probably use the following information to supplement what you are already doing, and just eat cabbage soup a couple of times a week. Sometimes experimenting with different foods is the best way, to find out what works for yourself some things work better than others for some people when others don’t.

Here is a link for the cabbage diet recipe so you can cook it for yourself
