High Protein Snack Review Jack’s Links Beef Jerky

Recently I was contacted by e-mail regarding a high-protein snack which is called Jack’s Links and as a result of this. I was sent a few samples to try. There are quite a few flavours of these particular snacks, which include the following beef, and chicken amongst others. This post revolves mainly around the beef jerky snack.

These for me came at a particularly good time, because I am incorporating more protein in my diet as it’s something I feel that I’m lacking in as of late. It’s not something that I had given much thought to before, but it is an important part of losing weight and gaining muscle, which is what I am intending to do.

This is the first time I have tried dried meat snacks. So naturally, it was a first for me to try them, and to my surprise, I do quite like them. They come in a foil sealed bag to keep them fresh before you eat them. The plain beef jerky snack has quite a nice flavour to it. It leaves nice beefy tang in your mouth after eating.

The closest experience, I can relate to eating these is similar to eating soft pork scratchings. I know that is a bit of a digression but for me, that is the closest I can explain it in words.

They are quite chewy to eat but very easy to eat at the same time. And I must say from my point of view quite enjoyable. So if you’re looking for a high-protein snack to take with you on the go where ever you go. I don’t think you can go far wrong with Jack’s Links high protein snacks.

Here are some facts about protein from their website.

Fact’s On Protein

“Protein can help to shed unnecessary pounds, but it’s important to make sure you are eating the right quantity and the right kind of protein. Healthy, active women should consume 65 grams of protein per day”.

Health Information on Beef Jerky

“Beef has been the subject of many health and fitness conversations throughout the decades, portrayed by some as a demise to a healthy lifestyle and regarded by others as a nutritious addition to a well-balanced diet.

Despite being a red meat-derived product, beef jerky has not received the same attention. Beef jerky is made from beef that has been dried. It has many of the same nutrients as beef, but also contains other ingredients”.

High Protein Ready to Eat Snacks

“High-protein diets support weight loss and help you maintain a healthy weight, according to the Harvard School of Public Health. While sources of protein like grilled chicken and baked fish are easy for lunch and dinner, snack time can be a challenge for protein lovers. Fortunately, there are a number of convenient high-protein, ready-to-eat snacks that will hold you over until your next meal”.

Go Lean With Protein

“Scientific research continues to suggest that protein has the potential to play a role in several aspects of weight loss and management.

For example, emerging studies indicate a moderate increase in dietary protein each day, combined with a physically active lifestyle and energy-controlled diet, may improve the body’s ability to build muscle mass, maintain a healthy weight and feel satisfied.
