Yeah, myself, I chose to eat vegetarian 4 years ago. I am heck of a lot happier and my energy is through the roof! Now, to just eat a vegetarian diet and be non-active is a pretty bold statement. Now, if you go on a raw vegan diet. Then, yeah, I would say very little exercise is necessary.

I don't see why people waste money on trainers to lose weight? I mean, without 30 mins to an hour of good exercise and I mean breaking a good sweat. Not just a few drops of sweat and stop. You wont just lose weight by dieting. You must exercise!

I run 8 miles a day, always try and get in 30 mins of basketball. Also, convert to walking instead of driving to a place that may take 5mins to 10 mins in a car. Then, being vegetarian and being very active I can shed 5 to 10 lbs. in just a few days.

Ive recently went Veg. and im losing about a pound a day... no exercise either... But I also stopped eating a lot of junk food... going veg has really reduced my appetite, so I can focus more on eating nutritious foods

I will give you my own experience into becoming vegetarian. I myself became a vegetarian more than a year ago, june 2007. I did it for health reasons and not thinking about losing weight. With that said!! around March of 2008 I went down from 268 to 230. YET! I notice an oddball thing! my mid section was at 46 inches. I was skinny fat, I lost weight! but I still had lots of fat around the mid section. The fact is that!! I lost some muscle mass and along with some fat. I then began to exercise, jogging 45 minutes 4 days a week with an ab and weight work out of 3 days a week. I lost 15 more pounds in 6 months. YET!! the impact was more than the vegetarian life style I have. I may weigh 215, but my mid section is at 39 inches now. True!! being vegetarian gave me more energy, but exercising is the major key to losing weight the right way. I stopped working out due to the cold season for 3 months now. YET!! I only gained a pound.

so that was my experience with becoming vegetarian. And yes!! if i hadn't worked out for the 6 months!! I believe that my mid section would still be a lot more bigger than it is now.
