    Bananas are also a great source of fattening glucose or fructose and have no protein. I love bananas, but I cannot eat them (two) unless I have skipped a meal. Too bad they have calories.

    They are great energy foods and if you wack them in the blender with some OJ and a few other fruits they make smoothies.

    If you are diabetic they are top of your list . My wife (diabetic) loves them but make sure you don’t eat them over ripe (brown) as the sugar content increases dramatically.
