What I Eat for Breakfast
By Mark on Sep 7, 2007 in Food diary
Being as I have had a bit of a breakfast theme, in recent posts I thought I could combine what I eat for breakfast. With some good recommendations for breakfast as well, from my point of view breakfast has and always will be part of my daily routine.
So here is what I eat for breakfast.
- Porridge (oatmeal) a great fiber fill me up food, great for eating in the winter months I tend to eat mine with water or skimmed milk.
- Weetabix another great fibre provider, which again I tend to eat with skimmed milk.
- Cornflakes I tend to have these on odd occasions.
- Wholemeal toast with no marmalade or any other sugary spread, but mostly with some low-fat but which is high in monounsaturates, rather than saturates.
- Beans on toast,or as somebody has referred them to as skinheads on a raft and as far as that saying goes, I have no idea where it comes from.
- Scrambled egg on wholemeal toast with no butter or another alternative is poached eggs.
- Sometimes in the morning I will eat some fruit to supplement my breakfast,I eat pears, apples, bananas, nectarines, peaches and grapes.
Hope this list gives you some ideas
